「Previously, non-deductible consumption and local consumption taxes were recognized as selling, general and administrative expenses in the consolidated fiscal year in which they arose. In light of the expansion of the group's business scale and workforce, the group determined that allocating the expenses over a specified period would better present its operating results. Accordingly, from the beginning of the current interim consolidated accounting period, non-deductible consumption and other taxes related to property, plant and equipment have been recognized as long-term prepaid expenses under “Other” in investments and other assets and amortized on a straight-line basis over 5 years. The impact of this change was immaterial, and the change was not applied retrospectively.」
