「On 28 October 2026, TOPPAN Holdings, Aisin, Asahi Kasei, SoftBank, AGC and DIC submitted a proposal for the subsidized project titled “Large-Scale Demonstration for Creating Use Cases” under the “Post-5G Information and Communications Systems Infrastructure Enhancement R&D Project (Acceleration of the Development and Demonstration of Next-Generation Quantum Computers to Address Social Issues)” solicited by NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization), titled “Construction of an Innovative Materials Development Platform Using Quantum Technologies」
The 6 companies, including ASAHI KASEI CORPORATION, will conduct R&D from fiscal 2026 through fiscal 2028 to build a platform for developing battery materials, optically functional materials, superconducting materials and other materials by integrating quantum computers and AI.
