During the period, the Group was centered on the Magazine Sales Support Business and the EdTech Business. As of 30 June 2026, the Group consisted of the Company, 6 subsidiaries and 1 equity-method affiliate. The Group continued to develop new service areas centered on digital magazine-related businesses and expand services using digital resources. The development of new services using digital magazine resources has become the Group’s second pillar, accounting for 41.7% of sales as of the end of June 2026. In the EdTech Business, the Group merged 翔進予備校, based in Yokohama, しょうわ出版, which operates Academia, and クリエイト研究会株式会社, which operates the Osaka-based ミリカグループ, and unified their corporate name under 株式会社Fujisan Academia Group. During the consolidated accounting period, クリエイト研究会 became a subsidiary on 31 March 2025. Sales from the company were also recorded in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, while no M&A fees were incurred, resulting in higher sales and profit.
As for the main business environment, domestic demand for broadband services and video streaming continued to expand, while the magazine market itself remained on a declining trend. The Group continued initiatives to retain subscribers and acquire new readers, while strengthening SEO and marketing. It continued operating Fujisan VCS (Fujisan Value Chain Support), under which management of existing magazine subscribers controlled by publishers is transferred to the Group, which then handles subscriber acquisition and delivery on an integrated basis. In the digital area, the Group, centered on 株式会社magaport, expanded its digital magazine distribution and unlimited-reading services, increasing their share of Group sales.
