The reasons the company gives

The company's own explanation, not something inferred from the numbers.

In the food business, growth in sales of one-plate products, the expansion and start-up of a dedicated xiaolongbao production line, and growth in shumai and xiaolongbao sales contributed to performance. In the food service business, profit growth was driven by rationalizing unprofitable stores, optimizing selling, general and administrative expenses, increasing average spend per customer through limited-time menu items, and encouraging visits through campaigns. From the second quarter onward, however, raw material and energy costs rose due to the situation in the Middle East.
