「With respect to biodiversity, we are pursuing environmentally responsible agriculture in our tea-producing region development business through the development of reduced-pesticide and organic cultivation technologies, based on the ITO EN Group Basic Policy on Biodiversity Conservation. The tea-producing region development business has also obtained GAP certification, a production-process management certification designed to ensure sustainability in agriculture, including food safety, environmental conservation and labor safety.」
For the first time as an independent theme, the Company describes reduced-pesticide and organic cultivation technology and GAP certification as measures addressing environmental conservation, food safety and labor safety in its tea-producing region development business.
