The risk that worsening international conditions, including diplomatic tensions, the situation in the Middle East and trade policy, will reduce the number of visitors to Japan and make it difficult to procure electricity, fuel and construction materials, while driving up their prices. The multiple impact pathways, namely declining demand and higher procurement and business continuity costs, are treated as an integrated whole.
