An ongoing effort to rebuild the business portfolio by reallocating management resources from the sugar business, which remains the foundation, to growth areas such as the Life & Energy business and overseas operations in response to declining domestic sugar demand. Structural reform of the sugar business itself and expansion into areas that reduce dependence on sugar are being pursued as an integrated initiative.
