An initiative to establish a manufacturing base for semi-finished products and temperature sensors in Germany, acquire distinctive sensor-manufacturing technology and avoid foreign-exchange risk. It also includes consolidating temperature-gauge and temperature-sensor manufacturing functions in Germany that are currently located in Switzerland.
