An initiative to advance multiple new energy and subsurface resource technologies, namely methane hydrates, CCS/CCUS and geothermal power generation, from research and demonstration to commercialization. In CCS in particular, implementation is becoming more concrete, including advancing to exploratory drilling off the coast of Tomakomai.
