An initiative under which the holding company formed through the management integration of Mitsui Sugar and Dainippon Meiji Sugar is discussing a capital and business alliance with Hokkaido Sugar, with the aim of securing raw materials, strengthening production technology, ensuring a stable domestic supply of sugar and improving international competitiveness. The collaboration has progressed to a specific arrangement under which, from October 2023, Memuro Sugar Refinery will manufacture under contract raw materials collected by Hokkaido Sugar.
