An initiative to raise funds through the disposal of treasury shares by way of a third-party allotment to JR East, using the proceeds for opening stores in station buildings and within stations, developing an e-commerce system, and promoting JRE POINT, View Card and JRE MALL. The company continues to hold shares in JR East even after the capital and business alliance was dissolved.
