An initiative to prevent the recurrence of operating problems at blast furnaces by reviewing abnormal-event response procedures and inspection standards, and advancing permanent countermeasures using early-detection equipment, DX, AI and IoT. The use of CPS is being expanded from equipment around the blast furnaces to all sintering facilities, with the aim of improving quality and productivity and reducing coke consumption.
