ポエック revised down its full-year forecast for the fiscal year ending August 2026, while revising net income upward as it expects to record grant income as extraordinary income. The earnings announcement is scheduled for 14 October.
ポエック revised its full-year consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending August 2026. Net sales were revised down to ¥10,324 million from the previous forecast of ¥10,800 million, operating income to ¥737 million from ¥1,120 million, and ordinary income to ¥836 million from ¥1,150 million. Meanwhile, net income attributable to owners of the parent was revised up to ¥748 million from ¥690 million.
In the Environment and Energy segment, demand for the manufacture and sale of organic solvent recovery equipment remains firm. However, customers are carefully assessing the timing of capital expenditure amid uncertainty over the situation in the Middle East, resulting in some of several large projects being carried over into the next fiscal year. In the Power and Heavy Machinery segment, the decline in the first half exceeded expectations, reflecting the reaction to the substantial increase in orders and sales in the latter half of the previous fiscal year.
On the earnings front, in addition to the carried-over projects, costs related to growth investments, including depreciation associated with the start-up of a new plant for subcritical water treatment equipment, costs to secure personnel, and expenses related to the acquisition of shares in a subsidiary, were incurred ahead of schedule. Net income is expected to benefit from the recording as extraordinary income of a grant received by consolidated subsidiary 三和テスコ.
In addition, the business acquired by a consolidated subsidiary in February 2026 is expected to contribute for the full fiscal year ending August 2027. The earnings announcement for the fiscal year ending August 2026 is scheduled for 14 October.
