Amitā Circular has begun operations at its newly built ZERO I recycling plant within the Himeji Circular Resource Manufacturing Facility in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture. The company is developing a smart factory featuring AI-based analysis of material conditions, automated controls and expanded storage areas, with plans to achieve full automation and unmanned operations in 2027.
Amitā Circular has built and begun operating the ZERO I recycling plant within the Himeji Circular Resource Manufacturing Facility in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture. The new plant is designed to automate the entire process from receiving materials through production, storage and shipment.
The plant analyzes material conditions during resource production using camera footage and operates a system that uses AI to automatically control moisture content and other factors. The storage area has also been expanded to approximately five times its previous size, enabling the plant to handle materials with high moisture content and hard solid materials.
This will enable the company to accept more waste materials that were previously difficult to process and produce a wide range of customized products to meet customer needs. Going forward, the company will gradually implement a chatbot that uses AI to derive optimal recycling flows and a shipment and receiving reservation system toward 2027, with the aim of fully automating and unmanning the production process.
