The regionally affiliated general contractor ユニコンホールディングス announced a capital and business alliance with 大豊建設 and surged in the afternoon session. Its share price reached a level approximately ¥67 higher than the previous day, while the closing price was ¥958, an increase of nearly 50%. The alliance was announced after the morning session ended on the 25th and was viewed as a buying catalyst. As a result, ユニコンHD's share price temporarily responded as a buying catalyst.
The alliance is centered on combining the infrastructure construction technologies held by 大豊建設 with ユニコンHD's business foundation to establish a mutually complementary relationship across the entire value chain, from new infrastructure construction through maintenance and repairs. The companies said they would strengthen their response to social needs, including national resilience, and would also consider jointly participating in PPP and PFI projects in the future.
As part of the investment, 大豊建設 will acquire 1,682,133 shares of ユニコンHD and become its second-largest shareholder, holding 17.0% of total shares outstanding.
