ASAHIPEN CORPORATION announced the launch of Water-Based Paint-On Insect Repellent Clear, which makes surfaces less attractive to insects when applied to areas where they are likely to enter. It can be easily applied by spreading it with a cloth, combining the action of insect-repellent ingredients with the slip effect produced by a special silicone resin.
Its features include being water-based, making it safe and easy to handle, and being applicable without special tools. The insect-repellent ingredient is a pyrethroid pesticide, which is expected to repel insects, while the silicone resin provides a slipping effect. The effect lasts for approximately 2 months, although this varies depending on the environment and application conditions.
Its main applications include a wide range of indoor and outdoor locations, such as walls, areas around entrances, windows, screens, ventilation openings and streetlights. The colorless, clear finish does not detract from the appearance of the surface. Target pests include midges, spiders, stink bugs, centipedes and house centipedes, and the product can be used to repel and drive out insects and prevent their entry.
Product specifications are 400 ml, with a standard coverage area of 15–25 m². Drying time is 5–10 minutes in summer and 15–20 minutes in winter. The recoating interval is at least 30 minutes in summer and at least 1 hour in winter. Ingredients are synthetic resin (silicone), permethrin and water.
