On 29 September, ニチリン announced its decision to establish its wholly owned subsidiary, ニチリンジャパン, in January 2027 and reorganise its domestic manufacturing structure by absorbing 日輪機工 and ニチリン・サービス, centred on automotive hose manufacturing at the Himeji Plant.
At a Board of Directors meeting, ニチリン decided to establish ニチリンジャパン as a wholly owned subsidiary in January 2027. As a result, 日輪機工 and ニチリン・サービス, which manufacture and sell automotive hoses and related products at the Himeji Plant, will be absorbed into the new company. The objectives are to consolidate domestic manufacturing functions, unify reporting lines, and maintain and strengthen Japan's production base through the mutual use of know-how.
Following the reorganisation, ニチリンジャパン will be positioned as the group's mother plant and support its global operations through the early introduction of automation technology, the introduction of advanced production management, the testing and establishment of new production methods, and training for production staff at overseas subsidiaries. Divisions other than those related to manufacturing will continue to operate as ニチリン.
The new company's details are as follows: name, ニチリンジャパン; address, 1118 Sado, Bessho-cho, Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture; representative, Representative Director and President Kayama Takanao (香山 喬尚); business, manufacture and sale of automotive hoses and related products; capital, ¥100 million; and fiscal year-end, 31 December.
