Kiyama Town has signed a partnership agreement with the Japanese subsidiary of a Chinese home-appliance maker and will use products such as vacuum cleaners at childcare centres to improve operational efficiency.
Kiyama Town has established a framework with Haier Japan Sales, the Japanese subsidiary of a global home-appliance maker headquartered in China, to use its products at childcare centres and other facilities.
The agreement aims to improve efficiency in childcare operations, where labour shortages have been identified as an issue. At childcare centres, products that can vacuum up waste and also mop floors with water are being used.
Staff at the facilities said that reducing cleaning time has increased the time available for other duties, and said they intend to continue incorporating feedback from the facilities into product development and improvements.
