The Nikkei 225 was trading about ¥510 below the previous day during the morning session on the 29th, reaching a level ¥651.69 lower at 9:57 a.m. As the market remained soft in response to developments in U.S. markets, the impact of the September dividend ex-rights date was also being watched.
