Genki na Kaigo President Ikeda Genki (池田元気) explained why the company aims to list on the Sapporo Stock Exchange's Main Market and the TSE Standard Market, saying it seeks to strengthen its credibility and recruitment capabilities. He said trusted M&A is the company's growth engine.
Genki na Kaigo operates businesses including long-term care insurance services, housing for older people and welfare services for people with disabilities. It has outlined plans to list on the Sapporo Stock Exchange's Main Market and the Tokyo Stock Exchange's market for professional investors around July 2026. The company aims to move at an early stage from the Sapporo Stock Exchange's Main Market and the TSE market for professional investors to the TSE Standard Market, with the goal of strengthening its credibility and attracting highly capable personnel.
President Ikeda Genki (池田元気), who is from Sapporo, explained that he initially pursued a career in accounting, worked as a manager in 会/community, and ultimately became representative director and president, when the company changed its trade name to Genki na Kaigo. He advanced the independence of the business and the development of financial and management functions within the group, anticipated that sales scale would serve as a benchmark for listing, and proceeded with preparations for the listing.
He cited improving credibility and strengthening the recruitment of personnel as objectives of the listing, and expressed the view that trusted M&A would drive growth. He also stated that the company aims to make the importance of the long-term care industry more widely known as it has developed from its founding to the present.
