On 17 August 2026, Mercedes-Benz extensively refreshed the C-Class sedan and station wagon. The exterior puts its star-inspired face front and center, while the model gains digital features built around MB.OS and MBUX, along with multiple powertrain options.
On 17 August 2026, Mercedes-Benz unveiled updated C-Class models in Germany. Described as the “most comprehensive technological upgrade in its history,” the refresh brings extensive changes not only to the exterior but also to the powertrains, digital features, driver assistance systems and chassis.
The front end adopts a new grille that emphasizes a more vertical design than before, with LED light guides integrated into the chrome frame to enhance its presence. The headlights feature star-inspired daytime running lights, while the rear lamps also incorporate a star-shaped design.
The interior introduces MB.OS and fourth-generation MBUX. AI features combining ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing and Google Gemini are included, enabling what is described as more natural conversation. The central display is largely carried over from the previous model, while providing a new-generation digital experience.
The powertrain lineup comprises gasoline, diesel and PHEV models. The gasoline and diesel models adopt ISG 2.0 and a 48V hybrid system. The 2.0-liter M254 EVO inline-four is equipped with the newly developed eZV electric auxiliary compressor, designed to improve response at low engine speeds.
