A seminar for people supporting companies expanding into Vietnam will be held in Ho Chi Minh City. The event will explore how to view design as an investment rather than a cost, as well as how to develop branding strategies for local markets.
A seminar proposing ways to support companies expanding into Vietnam by viewing design as an investment will be held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The event is organized by 株式会社ニード and vina nide Co., Ltd. and will take place at the café & bar operated by vina nide’s local office. The program will include talks informed by firsthand experience of production work with local staff.
The event is based on the shared understanding that support for overseas expansion often leaves local marketing and design considerations until later, while companies achieving results incorporate branding and design into management decisions from an early stage. The event aims to update the perspective of those providing support.
The talks and discussion session will cover the shift from competing on appearance to branding from the perspective of design history, explain the differences between Japan and Vietnam using real-world examples and figures, explore how to create reasons for customers to choose a brand in the local market, and convey the realities of local production work. Short presentations, self-introductions and an informal networking session will follow the seminar.
The event will be held from 18:00 to 21:30 on 24 September 2026, with doors opening at 17:30. The venue is the café & bar operated by kochi / vina nide. Capacity is approximately 15 people, and the participation fee is VND 200,000. Applications will be accepted via Google Forms. The organizer is vina nide Co., Ltd., and the co-organizer is 株式会社ニード.
