GMO Internet Group has fully opened the GMO Humanoid Lab Shibuya Showroom on the 11th floor of Cerulean Tower in Shibuya, Tokyo. The entire 382-tsubo floor is now operational, with a new conference space and development area accommodating up to 100 people.
As part of what is considered one of Japan's largest physical AI hubs, GMO Internet Group has fully opened the GMO Humanoid Lab Shibuya Showroom on the 11th floor of Cerulean Tower in Shibuya. Approximately half of the site's roughly 382 tsubo of floor space was opened ahead of schedule in April 2026, and the full opening has brought all areas into operation.
The full opening adds a conference space and development area accommodating up to 100 people, positioning the site as one of Japan's largest physical AI research and development hubs. It is characterised in particular by the concentration of advanced robots, including humanoid robots, together with research and development facilities.
GMO Internet Group, GMO AI&ロボティクス商事株式会社 (GMO AIR) and GMO Various Robotics株式会社 are jointly conducting research and development at the site. The aim is to further accelerate real-world deployment in the future.
In addition to expanded development, meeting-room and office areas, new meeting rooms for visitors have been added, and GMO AIR's office area has also been expanded. The full opening is intended to deepen collaboration with engineers, researchers and partner companies in Japan and overseas, with the aim of creating new industries centred on humanoid robots.
