USD/JPY is reportedly set to test the ¥160 level, while rising oil prices are creating a backdrop for yen selling. 外為どっとコム総合研究所 will disclose actual FX transactions during a European-session livestream and explain its trading methods and risk management.
In the foreign exchange market, USD/JPY is reportedly likely to test the ¥160 level, while higher oil prices are seen as creating a backdrop for dollar buying and yen selling. The livestream is scheduled to begin at 17:00 European time on 18 August 2026, with real-time trading commentary provided on YouTube.
The program is hosted by employees of 外為どっとコム総合研究所 and is generally streamed from 17:00 on weekdays. An additional Friday stream is also offered during weeks when US employment data are released. The program uses the latest exchange-rate charts and an economic indicators calendar, while actual FX transactions are conducted through a corporate account.
The trading is subject to clear risk management rules. Investment funds start at ¥1 million, and the daily loss limit is ¥100,000. The maximum trade size for high-volatility currency pairs is 100 lots or fewer. For other currency pairs, the total is capped at 10 lots or fewer, while the maximum position limits are 500 lots for high-volatility pairs and 100 lots for other pairs.
Higher oil prices may affect the foreign exchange market by worsening Japan’s trade balance and increasing selling pressure on the yen. At the same time, the possibility of a Bank of Japan rate hike in September is reportedly around 80% priced in, and there may be situations in which the yen-selling pressure from higher oil prices offsets that effect. The livestream is intended to provide explanations for FX beginners and introduce practical trading methods, and viewers are responsible for their own investment decisions.
