Following the earnings announcements made on 26 October, stocks whose prices fell from the previous day's closing prices as of the close on 27 October are ranked in descending order of their declines.
Kabutan News has published a ranking of stocks expected to have a negative earnings impact among companies that announced their results, showing how their share prices moved from the closing prices on the day before the earnings announcements to the close on 27 October. The companies covered announced their results between 23 and 26 October, and are ranked in descending order of their declines.
The list includes Stanley, SAN-EI, Canon MJ, Ono Sokki, Fujiya, Miki Kogyo and Taiyo Techno, along with the announcement date, reporting period and ordinary income change rate. For example, Stanley announced its results on 26 October for the first half, with an ordinary income change rate of -12.55 and a decline of 10.97%, while Taiyo Techno reported third-quarter results and returned to profitability, but still recorded a decline of 0.64%.
The decline is calculated using the closing price on the day before the earnings announcement as the benchmark and the change in the share price as of the close on 27 October. The accompanying ordinary income change rate is presented as an indicator of the increase or decrease in earnings and as a reference for assessing whether it is consistent with the results of each individual stock.
