She is 27 years old and originally from Yokohama, Kanagawa, and passed the professional qualifying test in 2018.
Although Tsuruoka is a popular professional golfer with approximately 83,000 Instagram followers, she has yet to win on tour. Last year, she finished runner-up in 2 consecutive events and secured a seed for 2 consecutive years. This season, she played in 17 events, including a fourth-place finish at the Miyazato Ai Suntory Ladies, but had been away from the tour since the Meiji Yasuda Ladies in July.
