Nikon lowered its consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 from the previous ¥732 billion to ¥722 billion. The revision resulted from a review of the sales plan for the second half of the Imaging Products Business.
Sales in the Imaging Products Business in the second half are expected to be ¥10 billion below the previous forecast, reducing total sales from the previous projection.
Meanwhile, sales in the Precision Equipment Business are expected to increase amid favorable conditions in the semiconductor market. Operating profit is expected to rise from ¥11 billion to ¥16.5 billion, and net profit from ¥10 billion to ¥16 billion.
Regarding future product development, reports have circulated about the timing of the launch of new Z-series products and possible model changes, with expectations that the company will seek a recovery. An addendum also notes that an old earnings document had been included in the initial article.
