アクセルスペースホールディングス revised downward its consolidated bottom-line forecast for the fiscal year ending May 2027. The loss is expected to widen due to the recognition of an impairment loss on satellites and the start of discussions to terminate a contract.
アクセルスペースホールディングス, which develops microsatellites, lowered its full-year forecast for the fiscal year ending May 2027 on the 6th. The recognition of an impairment loss related to satellite failures was a major factor, and the loss is expected to exceed the previous forecast.
The company judged that four of the seven GRUS-3 small Earth-observation satellites had suffered permanent failures due to malfunctions in their high-speed communications systems. As commercial operation became impossible, it will record an extraordinary loss of ¥1.879 billion.
Regarding an on-orbit demonstration service for an engine, the company received written notice from Pale Blue concerning termination of the contract and began discussions toward termination. Reflecting these developments, the consolidated bottom-line forecast for the full fiscal year was lowered to a loss of ¥3.65 billion.
The company disclosed a communications-system malfunction affecting a satellite on 29 September. On the 7th, the share price briefly returned to positive territory after plunging, but fell to ¥302 in the afternoon session, down ¥18 from the previous day.
