GMOヘルステック has launched Hayareji Lite, a cashless-only model, as a new addition to its Hayareji byGMO series of self-checkout payment terminals for medical institutions. Its cash-free design delivers a smaller footprint and lower costs, with the aim of improving the efficiency of payment operations.
GMOヘルステック announced that it will begin offering Hayareji Lite, a cashless-only model, as a new addition to its Hayareji byGMO series of self-checkout payment terminals for medical institutions from 1 October 2026. The model is a revamped version of the existing FastCheckout byGMO and is designed to eliminate the handling of cash.
Because Hayareji Lite does not include an automatic cash change machine, it can be introduced at a lower cost than previous models. Medical institutions already using Hayareji byGMO will be offered the model at a discounted price under a combined-use plan. It is expected to make two-terminal operation easier and help distribute patient waiting times for payment.
The terminal can be installed at reception counters with limited space and supports vertical placement, horizontal placement and wall mounting. It also integrates with electronic medical records and medical billing systems to automatically import billing data, which is expected to reduce incorrect amount entries and lessen the burden on staff handling payments.
The product also offers screen displays in 6 languages and a choice of colour variations, enabling medical institutions to select the most suitable model for their size, available installation space and operating requirements. The company attributes the product’s development to the rising cashless payment ratio and has explained that it is intended to lower the barrier to adoption.
