ラクーンホールディングス reported double-digit growth in both its EC and financial businesses in the first quarter of the fiscal year ending April 2027. Revenue rose 13.9% year on year to ¥1,776 million, while operating profit came to ¥303 million, exceeding the first-half forecast.
For the first quarter of the fiscal year ending April 2027, ラクーンHD reported consolidated revenue of ¥1,776 million, up 13.9% year on year, adjusted EBITDA of ¥357 million and operating profit of ¥303 million. Both the EC and financial business segments posted growth. The first-half growth outlook is in line with full-year guidance, with revenue growth expected to be around 10%, while full-year growth is projected at approximately 14%.
The EC business generated GMV of ¥8,543 million, up 17.6% year on year, with domestic EC up 19.7% and international EC up 11.7%, maintaining double-digit growth. The number of purchasing customers was trending upward, but improving conversion from new-member acquisition to actual purchases was identified as a challenge. In the domestic customer mix, trends among large customers contributed to higher average purchase prices, and the company strengthened its sales activities through increased staffing.
International EC grew as the number of purchasing customers rose 4.1% and average spending per purchasing customer increased 7.3%. Hong Kong, which had recorded negative growth through the previous fiscal year, recovered to positive growth, and the company also conducted estimates for shipping-cost subsidies. New-customer acquisition initiatives for Super Delivery, Paid and URIHO contributed to growth in new registrations, and the company will continue its policy of expanding investment from the second quarter onward.
The financial business recorded double-digit growth in both Paid and URIHO. Segment revenue was ¥721 million, comprising ¥297 million from Paid and ¥423 million from URIHO. Profit was constrained by higher advertising and promotional expenses, but the gross profit margin improved as defaults declined.
