Dassault Systèmes and Vertiv announced a collaboration to integrate the design and validation of infrastructure for AI factories, aiming to shorten the time from the start of design to the start of AI operations and reduce the infrastructure deployment period.
French company Dassault Systèmes and U.S. company Vertiv announced on the 22nd local time a collaboration that enables the configuration, simulation and validation of infrastructure for AI factories. By combining the 3DEXPERIENCE platform with Vertiv's digital infrastructure technology, the companies aim to reduce complexity at the site and shorten the time from the start of design to the start of AI operations.
The collaboration will use Vertiv's virtual twin, Vertiv SmartRun, as its starting point and apply a model-based approach to infrastructure solutions for AI factories, including Vertiv OneCore. Dassault Systèmes' platform will enable the configuration and validation of reference designs for SimReady-compliant power and cooling systems based on NVIDIA DSX-related designs and NVIDIA Omniverse Blueprints.
AI factories require coordination among power, cooling, networking, controls and computing, and changes in one area may affect others, making comprehensive performance validation before physical implementation necessary. The integration of 3DEXPERIENCE and Vertiv will enable design-change traceability, evaluation of multiple configurations and system-level validation to be carried out in an integrated manner.
The benefits for customers are said to include reducing the period from requirements definition through solution configuration and validation to as little as one-tenth, and shortening the infrastructure deployment period by up to 50%. The companies also say the collaboration could bring AI factories online approximately 10 weeks earlier than conventional approaches and increase by up to 30% the total number of tokens generated over 12 months at the same capacity (not based on operating results).
