Skild AI reiterated its focus on deployment in real-world operations in the second part of the interview, while expanding collaborations in the Japanese market and pursuing data-driven growth.
Skild AI is deploying its technology in real-world operations through RaaS (Robot as a Service), based on the concept of integrating robot intelligence into a single model. The company recorded approximately $30 million in revenue in several months at the end of 2025, and in January 2026 announced a $1.4 billion Series C led by SoftBank, bringing its valuation to over $14 billion.
The company has announced partnerships with ABB Robotics, Universal Robots, Mobile Industrial Robots and NVIDIA, and is pursuing large-scale deployment including in warehouse operations. In April 2026, it acquired Zebra Technologies' robotics division, strengthening its operational expansion in warehouses.
The company has adopted a technology strategy centered on a virtuous data cycle. Its goals for the next two years are to research ways to extend in-context adaptation to every task and build a system for feeding deployment data back into its intelligence. In the Japanese market, it is pursuing collaborations with Sumitomo, Mitsui and others, while promoting its ability to deploy without modifying existing factories as a key advantage.
Its ultimate mission is AGI, and it aims to create intelligence capable of physical reasoning in the real world and advanced dexterity. Through collaborations in overseas markets, including Japan, it plans to promote robot adoption and accumulate data.
