On 21 October 2026, WingArc1st announced its new DataTetra data platform for AI-driven data utilization and began rolling it out the same day. The company is introducing a lakehouse environment that integrates data consolidation and AI analysis, together with capacity-based pricing rather than usage-based pricing.
On 21 October 2026, WingArc1st announced the launch of DataTetra, a new data platform solution designed for AI use, and said that provision would begin on the same day. DataTetra aims to achieve “user sovereignty,” enabling companies to manage and use their data proactively.
As the use of unstructured data such as documents and images expands with the spread of generative AI, issues including loss of context and rising usage costs have emerged. Specifically, there is said to be a need to avoid excessive dependence on AI while improving cost predictability.
DataTetra is designed around three principles: coexistence with AI, data sovereignty and a data utilization platform. It provides a lakehouse environment that combines the strengths of data warehouses and data lakes. In place of conventional usage-based pricing, the company plans to adopt capacity-based pricing based on usage allocations such as processing capacity, making costs easier to forecast as the scale of AI use expands.
DataTetra combines the company's technologies, including Dr.Sum, MotionBoard and dejiren AI, and supports implementations that make use of existing data warehouse assets. It will also establish a specialist team to support the development, operation and adoption of data utilization initiatives, using its track record of supporting more than 100 companies annually to support organizations' continued use of AI.
