Vocci Ring, an AI recording device in a ring form, has been announced for launch in Japan. Support will be accepted through GREEN FUNDING from 11:00 on 30 September, with prices starting at ¥29,990, up to 43% off the ¥49,990 recommended retail price.
On 25 September 2026, フォーカルポイント株式会社 announced the launch of the ring-shaped AI recording device “Vocci Ring” in Japan. Support in Japan will be accepted through GREEN FUNDING from 11:00 on 30 September, with supporter pricing starting at ¥29,990, up to 43% off.
Vocci Ring is shaped like a ring. Two button presses start recording, which continues hands-free. When needed, a single press adds a marker to an important section, and recording can continue for up to 8 hours.
The device has IP67 dust and water resistance and a titanium body. The app's AI transcribes and summarizes recordings, extracts important moments and organizes To-Do items. MCP support enables access to recording history and other information from ChatGPT and Claude.
The developer, Gyges Labs, is based in Singapore, while フォーカルポイント serves as its Japanese distributor. A launch event in Japan was held on 25 September, where co-founder and COO Domingo Deng spoke.
