The morning session comments reported that ガーデン substantially cut its full-year forecast, along with developments at エータイ, オーバラップ, インターライフ, IDOM and メタリアル. Changes to the earnings outlook for individual stocks were the main focus.
ガーデン cut its operating profit forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027 from the previous ¥1.41 billion to ¥430 million. Customer traffic at existing stores recovered less than expected, while the decline in gross margin, new-store opening costs, store hybridisation costs and personnel expenses exceeded expectations. Operating profit for the first half was ¥220 million, a substantial year-on-year decline. エータイ then raised its operating profit forecast for the fiscal year ending August 2027 to ¥1.0 billion and set its annual dividend forecast at ¥75 per share. It expects to develop partnerships with additional temples and expand sales of perpetual memorial burial plots. オーバラップHD forecast consolidated operating profit of ¥2.55 billion for the fiscal year ending August 2027, anticipating growth through strengthening its sales mix and launching new IP-related products.
インターライフHD raised its consolidated operating profit forecast for the fiscal year ending February 2027 to ¥1.35 billion, while first-half operating profit increased year on year to ¥1.22 billion. Completion of carried-over interior construction projects and progress on large-scale projects contributed to the result. IDOM lowered Daiwa Securities' investment rating from Outperform to Neutral and cut the target price to ¥1,000. メタリアル announced that its consolidated operating loss for the first half of the fiscal year ending February 2027 was ¥110 million. Although AI-related one-off costs increased, the impact of new services was viewed positively, and the full-year forecast was maintained.
