A joint research project by JTEKT and Kanagawa University won the Excellent Research Award at the international conference “The 19th MIRAI Conference.” The award recognized the originality of the research theme and approach, as well as expectations for the results.
JTEKT presented the results of its joint research with Kanagawa University and received the “The 19th MIRAI Conference Excellent Research Award.”
The award-winning research, “Detection of Oil-film Behavior by In Situ Optical Interferometry and Acoustic Emission Sensing,” examined oil-film behavior in rolling/sliding contact areas and changes in acoustic emission (AE) signals associated with the onset of damage.
The award was presented in recognition of the originality of the research theme and approach, as well as expectations for the results.
