Tobila Systems Inc. added a new feature to the iOS version of its “トビラフォンモバイル” nuisance-call protection app, enabling users to block international number ranges in bulk and quickly filter suspicious calls from +1 numbers through server-based verification.
Tobila Systems Inc. announced on 15 October 2026 a new feature for the iOS version of its “トビラフォンモバイル” nuisance-call protection app that blocks international phone-number ranges in bulk. The feature automatically blocks incoming calls from specified international number ranges.
Previously, calls were checked against a list stored on the device. With this update, the app uses iOS Live Caller ID and now queries a server database when a call comes in, according to the company.
The new system is intended to efficiently block suspicious calls from the “+1 833,” “+1 855” and “+1 877” number ranges, which are made to appear as North American toll-free numbers. According to research by Tobila Systems Inc., the average number of calls from a single number is approximately 1.2.
The company operates a nuisance-information filtering service with approximately 15 million monthly users. Going forward, it aims to provide multilayered protection combining real-time updates with AI analysis.
