Kawai Musical Instruments plans to open children's sports classes in West Java, Indonesia. It aims to make its first overseas expansion by summer 2027 and will operate the classes directly.
Kawai Musical Instruments Mfg. Co., Ltd. announced plans to open children's sports classes in West Java, Indonesia. The company plans to begin its local operations by summer 2027, marking its first overseas expansion.
The classes will be opened and operated directly using sports facilities at private kindergartens, elementary schools and other locations. The operating model will use local facilities to improve a broad range of physical abilities.
The planned overseas expansion appears intended to leverage the company's existing platform in Indonesia, including music schools and musical instrument stores built around its piano factory there. This is expected to support the expansion of Kawai Musical Instruments' local operations.
