金像電 will build a new plant in the Zhongli Industrial Park to strengthen its production capacity for high-end multilayer PCBs used in AI servers. Its plan to invest approximately NT$13.8 billion was finalized following approval by the Invest Taiwan Office.
金像電, which manufactures printed circuit boards for servers, has announced plans to invest approximately NT$13.8 billion to build a new plant in the Zhongli Industrial Park. The company aims to increase its supply capacity for the AI server market by operating a new high-end multilayer PCB production line, and expects to employ 900 Taiwanese workers.
The Invest Taiwan Office approved 2 expansion investment projects on the 4th, with a combined value of approximately NT$14.07 billion. In addition to 金像電's NT$13.8 billion investment, 大舜鈑金 will invest approximately NT$270 million to establish smart manufacturing lines at 4 plants, including its headquarters in Anping, Tainan.
Market participants say demand for high-end multilayer boards is increasing as investment in AI infrastructure expands. The new plant is also expected to contribute to the benefits of a nearby industrial cluster and strengthen the supply system for customers in cloud and networking equipment.
The new plant will introduce an AI data analysis platform and an automated logistics system to improve production and delivery efficiency. It will also incorporate a carbon footprint plan and sustainable supply chain management, with the aim of advancing decarbonization and improving energy efficiency.
