Japan's domestic reuse market has grown to approximately ¥3.3 trillion, while household assets estimated to be lying unused, known as “hidden assets,” are said to amount to approximately ¥91 trillion. The companies aim to build an ecosystem that appropriately values these assets and puts them to use in new services.
The companies aim to create unprecedented services combining the reuse business with finance, and envisage the phased provision of convenient services through initiatives using BaaS. Details of the services will be disclosed once finalized.
KOMEHYO Holdings has the strength of being No. 1 in domestic sales of brand reuse products, while GMO Aozora Net Bank is distinguished by its ability to provide financial services combining AI and BaaS. Through their collaboration, the companies aim to create new value.
