ニチリン will reorganise its domestic manufacturing operations in January 2027 by consolidating the manufacturing functions of its Himeji Plant into the new company, ニチリンジャパン. The absorption merger of 日輪機工 and ニチリン・サービス, which will be dissolved, and the transfer of other divisions will proceed in stages.
On 29 September, ニチリン announced at a Board of Directors meeting that it would reorganise its domestic manufacturing operations. It plans to establish the new company, ニチリンジャパン, in January 2027.
Of the manufacturing divisions at the Himeji Plant, Assembly Section 3 will be transferred to the new company first, followed by the brake assembly and manufacturing, hose manufacturing, and rubber sheet manufacturing divisions as preparations are completed.
As the group's mother plant, the new company will introduce automation technology and advanced production management, and seek to maintain and strengthen Japan's production base, including by providing training for production staff at overseas subsidiaries. The administrative, technology development, and sales and procurement divisions will continue to operate as ニチリン.
The reorganisation will cover only the company and its wholly owned subsidiaries, and its impact on consolidated results is expected to be limited. At the time of establishment, the new company's name will be ㈱ニチリンジャパン, its address will be in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, its capital will be ¥100 million, and its business will be the manufacture and sale of automotive hoses and related products. Establishment is scheduled for January 2027.
