On 16 September, 明和工業 launched a resale project for the movable stainless-steel lure “Metareal” through the crowdfunding site CF. The project runs through 15 October.
In February 2026, the company sold the product through the crowdfunding site Makuake, reaching its target amount within 3 hours of launch and selling out 10 days later. Final funding totaled ¥1,283,400 from 73 backers, representing 1,604% of the target.
Metareal is a movable lure machined from solid material. Its unpainted finish prevents paint from peeling, while its center-balance design is intended to stabilize its trajectory during casting and enable longer casts. The products comprise 2 series, “Metareal” with joints and “Metal” without joints, and are available in 3 types: Scale, Shine, and Mirror. The CF project is titled “Changing the conventions of metal: bringing anglers a stainless-steel lure that swims.”
