A ceremony commemorating the 10th anniversary of 日本M&Aセンター’s overseas business was held on 1 September 2026 at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, with approximately 350 people in attendance. The event looked back on the business’s progress over the past decade and introduced its future plans, including the launch of a new cross-border M&A website.
Since opening its Singapore office in 2016, 日本M&Aセンター’s overseas business has expanded into Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand, and now has a team of approximately 65 people. The 10th anniversary event marked a milestone for the overseas business, while providing an opportunity to express appreciation to customers and partners and share its outlook for the future.
The event was held under the theme “Advancing the Japan–Southeast Asia M&A bridge,” with approximately 350 owners of operating companies, financial institutions, accounting firms, investors and others in attendance. A milestone video looking back on the business’s history was shown, and speeches and discussions were held with stakeholders, highlighting stronger collaboration between the local teams and the Japanese headquarters.
Sessions examined the potential of cross-border M&A from the perspectives of sellers, buyers and partners. Participants shared views on the buyer’s perspective and the importance of collaborative frameworks involving financial institutions and advisers, while expressing their intention to expand activities across the ASEAN region in the future.
In the evening, the event featured taiko performances, an appearance by AI Miyake and a kagami-biraki ceremony. As the 10-year milestone was celebrated, the company reaffirmed its role as a platform supporting M&A between Japan and ASEAN. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of the “Decade” awards and other events.
The company also announced plans to revamp its overseas M&A website. It will organize information on the five ASEAN countries in an easier-to-navigate format and plans to continue expanding its content.
