Okinawa Electric Power announced that monthly bills for ordinary households will rise by ¥1,578 from 1 November in line with the increase in transmission charges. The end of government electricity-bill support is expected to push up the fuel cost adjustment amount, potentially taking the monthly bill for a standard household above ¥10,000 for the first time.
Okinawa Electric Power announced that electricity bills for typical households are expected to rise by a total of ¥1,578 from 1 November, including an increase of approximately ¥580 per month. This is attributable to the end of government electricity-bill support.
As the fuel cost adjustment amount will rise as a result, the total monthly bill will be reflected in bills issued from November. Estimates indicate that the monthly bill will rise from ¥9,174 to ¥10,752, exceeding ¥10,000 for the first time under the standard-household model.
