The Kanagawa Prefecture Metal Stamping Industry Cooperative Association held a ceremony and reception commemorating its 55th anniversary on 16 October at Amada Forum and Amada Hall. The Mayor of Isehara delivered congratulatory remarks as a guest of honour, and the ceremony looked back on the cooperative's history and reaffirmed its commitment to future contributions.
The ceremony expressed appreciation to honorary adviser Seiji Oizumi (大泉政治), who received a special letter of appreciation for distinguished service, and announced the 5 companies recognized for their longstanding efforts to prevent occupational accidents. In the second part of the event, singer Takao Horiuchi (堀内孝雄) gave a special stage performance, followed by greetings from guests and a toast at the anniversary reception.
Founded in 1971, the cooperative now has 16 member companies and approximately 700 employees, supporting the regional economy and Japanese manufacturing. The 55th anniversary event had originally been planned for the 50th anniversary but was postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic, making this a celebration held 5 years later than planned.
Looking ahead, the ceremony emphasized activities with a view to the cooperative's 70th and 100th anniversaries, and set out a policy of continuing to contribute to the local community, the industry and related organizations.
