It was announced that registration of the Japanese patent rights for "Method for obtaining induced smooth muscle cells," filed by イノバセル's Austrian subsidiary, has been completed. The stock price response was limited.
The patent covers ICEF16, which targets fecal leakage incontinence, and protects an important aspect of the manufacturing process for obtaining induced smooth muscle-like cells from skeletal muscle-derived cells.
Together with the manufacturing process patent obtained in 2025, the registration strengthens the intellectual property foundation supporting ICEF16 manufacturing technology.
