セレンディクス株式会社, Japan's first 3D-printed home manufacturer, and JA三井リース株式会社 have signed a business alliance agreement. The alliance aims to promote the adoption of セレンディクス' construction 3D printers and construction equipment using JA三井リース' financing capabilities, while also advancing sales collaboration and the development of new services for facilities and stores using the technology.
The agreement comes against a backdrop of demand for greater resilience to natural disasters such as earthquakes, typhoons and torrential rain, along with labor shortages and rising material costs in the construction industry and the need to renew aging infrastructure. In this environment, 3D-printed construction is expected to find applications not only in housing but also in disaster recovery and infrastructure development, driving wider adoption.
セレンディクス emphasizes 3D-printing technology that can simultaneously reduce labor requirements and construction times, stabilize quality, increase design flexibility and lower environmental impact. The company aims to expand into a broad range of businesses beyond housing. Through the alliance, its technology will be combined with JA三井リース' nationwide customer network, with the potential to create new solutions that address challenges facing the construction industry.
JA三井リース has also identified “contributing to the realization of a prosperous society through technological innovation” as a materiality and is strengthening partnerships based on sustainability management and its five-year plan, “Sustainable Evolution.” Through the alliance, the companies aim to combine advanced 3D-printing technology with JA三井リース' financing capabilities and customer base to address social issues and create new business opportunities.
