Soliton Systems' integrated authentication cloud service, Soliton OneGate, will offer a new feature enabling facial recognition for Windows sign-in even in offline environments from 26 October 2026. The feature is intended to support the creation of a password-free authentication environment, and simplified configuration was also announced.
Soliton Systems will introduce a new feature for its integrated authentication cloud service, Soliton OneGate, enabling facial recognition for Windows sign-in even without a network connection, with availability beginning on 26 October 2026. Previously, use required an online environment, but authentication will now be possible offline. This will enable Windows sign-in using facial recognition even when network connectivity is unstable, such as when users are away from the office or working from home.
It will also be possible to configure OneGate login without requiring password authentication. Before starting to use the service, users will be able to complete their authentication settings in advance on a dedicated page and perform tasks such as obtaining certificates and registering FIDO2 themselves using an activation code. This will make it possible to operate OneGate without notifying users of an OneGate password.
The feature enhancements aim to create an authentication environment that does not depend on passwords, from Windows sign-in through SaaS use, in combination with OneGate's cloud SSO. It was also emphasized that OneGate uses an SDK incorporating facial-recognition technology from Panasonic Connect Co., Ltd.
Additional updates include enhanced integration between OneGate and NetAttest EPS, an extension of the log retention period from the previous 90 days to 6 months, and exclusion from the LE plan. An endorsement from Panasonic Connect Co., Ltd. was also published, expressing expectations for the use of facial recognition in offline environments.
