Toyota formally unveiled the Snowhunter family in North America. Comprising 5 vehicles, the Tundra, Tacoma, 4Runner, Land Cruiser and Sequoia are designed to enhance winter driving performance and capability in snow-clearing areas.
Toyota's North American subsidiary unveiled the Snowhunter concept family on 27 October. The lineup comprises 5 truck and SUV models, all featuring body-on-frame construction and customized for driving through deep snow. CALTY Design Research led the design, bringing the vehicles together under a common concept focused on winter performance and an adventure-oriented design.
Each model features Snowhunter-exclusive camouflage and badging, gloss-black accents and white powder coating. Common equipment includes the Snowtrack crawler for use on snow, a RIGID lighting system, genuine parts and TRD lift components.
The Tundra Snowhunter Concept is designed to function as a mobile base camp, combining the CALTY-designed Trail Lift Pro rack system, TRD rear control arms and Predator steps. It also features a movable top rack to improve the utility of the truck bed.
The 5-vehicle family is centered on winter-ready performance and an expedition-oriented design, with specifications intended to combine off-road capability with cargo hauling.
