Cambria Palace follows the growth of ベガコーポレーション, operator of the furniture e-commerce pioneer LOWYA, which began expanding into physical stores in 2023 and is set to operate 10 stores, including its second Tokyo location, by June 2025.
ベガコーポレーション, operator of LOWYA, has created “viral furniture” through online retail. Its vertically integrated business model, covering everything from planning and manufacturing to logistics and sales in-house, combines design, functionality and affordability, winning fans primarily among people in their 20s and 30s and homemakers.
The company began rolling out physical stores in 2023 and operates 9 stores nationwide, including locations in Tokyo and Yokohama. As it expands its store network, it is strengthening coordination between its online business and physical stores, using its own strategy to address the lack of a real-world shopping experience.
In June 2025, it plans to open its 10th store, including its second Tokyo location. Founded in 2004, the company is currently believed to have annual sales of approximately ¥16 billion. It is pursuing growth by integrating e-commerce with its physical retail business.
The company has continued to produce “viral furniture” that racks up more than 10 million views on short-form social media videos. A key characteristic of its approach is that it has used its own strategy to overcome the challenge of online furniture retail, where customers cannot see the products in person.
